Jenny Cimato, Assistant Principal

Jenny Cimato
Jenny Cimato brings 24 years of experience in education to her role as an assistant principal at Riverton Intermediate School. Throughout her career, she has worked with students in grades 2–8 and has served in a variety of roles, including general education teacher, special education teacher, and instructional coach.
Mrs. Cimato spent the first 14 years of her career teaching in Bay County, Florida, before moving with her family to the Buckhorn community in 2017. She spent six years at Buckhorn Middle School before joining the RIS family. Her connection to the Buckhorn community also extends beyond the classroom. As the parent of a Buckhorn High School graduate, she has been actively involved with the BMS & BHS Band, Archery, and Soccer programs over the years.
Outside of school, Mrs. Cimato enjoys spending time with her husband, who works in the aerospace and defense industry, her daughter, who is a full-time college student, and their two very spoiled dogs. Much of her travel takes her back to Florida, where most of her family still lives. She loves a family day at one of Orlando’s theme parks, but as a lifelong beach person, she is always happiest when she can make her way back to the Florida coast, especially her hometown of Panama City Beach.
